Today the market was making a double distribution accepting lower prices but in the last hour of the trade the market rally to the upper first node of this previously formed distribution and closing there:

Double distribution accepting lower prices

The market opened today at 1172 area, this is where the selloff of yesterday last hour ended. The ES wasn’t able to form volume at this yesterday levels so it is trying to form it today. As the market accept lower values it moves on to a range of prices between 1155 and 1158. This is again accepted and the market sell off to 1144. Finally this value is rejected and the market get back to an 1150 area closing there.

The day after the FED

After the FED announcement yesterday the market moved fast to the lower extreme of the intermediate range formed after the US debt crisis and rating downgrade.
Market continue lower until 1107 area, where enough buyers were found to move the market to 1120, very close to its opening. We could find more buying in the next days in this lower extreme.

S&P-500 Trending up

Nice upside move today in the E-Mini S&P-500. The market opened at 1172 and went down to 1155 only to get aggressive buying activity in the afternoon. Structure was key here to know the market was going up but there was also some caution with the Greece situation. When it was known that Germany and France were going to support Greece again to keep them inside the european monetary union every investor and trader knew that conditions for the day were good for the overall market.

But the locals are smart, they pushed the market to much to the north to 1195 levels only to return back to the previous area with volume for the close at 1180 levels.

Indecision in the ES

indecision dominated the market today.  the opening was lower then friday last value area of the double distribution, this lower prices was rejected at the opening and the market went to this friday value. Again the friday value was rejected and the market traded lower forming value down there. in the last hour of the trade the market unexpectedly rally and closed in the highs.

this last rally, could be caused by rumors of China buying Italy debt, it is not the first time this rumor is around as a possible solution for Europe problems but this was never confirmed. This rally was dangerous for a day trader as structure was telling that the market should return to its daily mean, this never happened.
